O Manifesto Ivens
absolutamente impossível de ser implementada, talvez venha a ser algo factível;
a esses.
parte, negocie, recalcule, refaça contratos, mude leis, flexibilize;

The Ivens’ Manifest
Much has
been spoken about the problem generated by the Coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19),
the socioeconomic consequences and a somewhat catastrophic future scenario, but
I suggest starting to propose concrete solutions.
What today may seem like a stupid solution and one absolutely impossible to
implement, it may prove to be something feasible; even,
in some sectors of the economy, it is already occurring unofficially.
We have already seen what economics is, what its dynamics are. Economics is not about money, it is about circulating money, when money does not pass from hand to hand,
there is no point in having money, because it is useless, it does not hire
services, it does not buy goods, it does not allow you leisure
options, etc.
But let's get back to the focus.
Borders, of all types: geographical, cultural, religious, skin color,
purchasing power, etc., have been breached; everyone on
the planet has been involved and we live in a time when a virus taught us that
we are all the same; solidarity emerged, for various
reasons, some not so noble, but the effect generated is still positive; the air of cities is better; family
relationships heated up.
But, and now, how to make the recovery of the economy? How to allow indebted people, bankrupt companies and those now on the
margin of the market, to return to the wheel of the economy, to help it spin
again?
Let's cut prices “by half”! Obviously, each sector
studying the cut percentage, therefore, "by half" is not suitable for
all sectors of the economy. I know that many renowned
economists will say that this will cause deflation and that it is more damaging
to the economy than inflation, but that is when we have deflation as part of a
self-powered system; in the current case, we have a
specific situation, which calls for an extreme cut in the price of goods and
services, in order to allow citizens access to those. As
in the case of high inflation, the prices freeze does not stop the escalation
of inflation, that is, the trend; the proposed cut would
also have a momentary effect, thus taking into account only this transitory
phase of the global economy.
This extreme measure, for a situation of global calamity already installed,
would alleviate the socioeconomic impacts and would be an effort of countries,
companies and people in favor of the common good.
The opposite case, the one of maintaining prices at the levels of a normal
situation, is today totally incompatible with the financial reality of ordinary
people (we are talking about 90% of the world population) and, without the
participation of this portion of the population, the market just does
not work.
As mentioned, some sectors, extremely self-regulated through the infallible
law of supply and demand, but composed of goods with low turnover, are already
pointing in this direction; example: real estate market
(mainly in the rental market); in addition to some
services, fuels, clothing, among others possible to point out.
Therefore, the purpose of this Manifest is to bring together governments,
companies and people to engage in this movement towards an economy that can once
again turn, benefiting everyone.
So cut where you can, start the movement, do your part, negotiate,
recalculate, redo contracts, change laws, flexibilize; let
us all work for mankind, because the virus has shown us that we are inexorably
connected and that we live in the same blue house.
